Where the use of conventional swing gate is not feasible due to space restrictions or other reasons, the EA Cantilevered Sliding Gate by EA Group is an ideal solution with either manual or automatic configurations available.

Features

• Cantilever Design: The gate is supported by a horizontal beam, known as a cantilever, which extends outward from one side of the gate opening. This design allows the gate to slide smoothly without contacting the ground.

• Counterbalance System: Cantilever sliding gates typically use a counterbalance system to support the weight of the gate and ensure smooth operation.

• Rollers or Carriages: The gate is supported and guided by rollers or carriages mounted on posts or support structures along the fence line. These rollers allow the gate to slide open and closed with minimal friction.

• Safety Features: To ensure safe operation, cantilever sliding gates may include safety features such as photoelectric sensors or safety edges to detect obstructions and prevent accidents.

Description

The cantilever design means that the gate is supported from one end as it opens and closes, so there is no need for a track to be fitted across the entrance. With “no track required” installed across the gate opening, a single leaf cantilever gate can span widths of up to twelve meters and be installed on uneven ground, over block-paving, grass, gravel or even water.

The gate glides on two sets of support/guide rollers, fixed to a concrete foundation, hidden within the main lower beam extrusion protecting them from the elements ensuring a reliable, smooth and virtually silent operation.

The standard infill can be replaced by a variety of infill options including D or W profile palisade pales, timber panels, solid sheeting, 358 Securimesh as examples to integrate perfectly with all fence types and environments.

The EA Automatic Cantilever Sliding Gate complies with BS EN 12453 (the current legislation ALL automated gates must comply with). We fit as standard a number of safety devices. The gate portal is fitted with dual height photocells and six category three monitored live safety edges.
